The girls are back in action with a new, intense year. Although they started off preseason with a loss, the girls aren’t letting it get them down. This season Coach Aaron Armas has taken over the team and strives to push the girls to their limits.

“I want to see these girls succeed and help them get far in the field of tennis.”- Coach Aaron Armas

Coach Armas was a cross country coach and has brought a bit of his skills from there to tennis. He helps the girls with being quick on their feet to easily move on the court.

Captains are returner Briana Acosta (12) and new comer Lizzeth Gutierrez (12) and although they have different skill levels, they both aim for team success along with individual wins.

This strategy ended up paying off when both new members Angelica W. (9) and Lizzeth G. (12) won their first doubles game against Pomona.

Although the girls haven’t won any games, they did manage to tie one. Some of the girls believe that their problem might be from the lack of communication between each other or with the coach himself.
