Nike’s new Self Lacing Shoes also called the Hyperadapt 1.0 are on sale for $720. The revolutionary technology is called EARL Electro Adaptive Reactive Lacing.
After being in creation for ten years, it’s no surprise at the high price tag. When not sold out the shoes cost $720, but demand has taken these Nike’s up to $6000 on Ebay. Since they are automatic, these shoes use a magnetic adapter to charge and are fully charged after three hours. The battery charge will last up to two weeks.
Nike says after wearing these shoes for a while the shoes will adjust itself to the wearer’s preferred settings. Ricardo Martinez said, “I would like to get these shoes, but they are really expensive and I’d prefer to waste my money on other stuff.”
