Valentine’s Day is coming and love is in the air.

Maybe you want to treat your special someone to a romantic date, or maybe you’re all about treating yourself, whatever it may be, grab a box of chocolates, a bouquet of flowers and head to one of these (for the most part) romantic screenings on and around Valentine’s weekend.

Eat At:

Lucille’s, Chili’s and Applebee’s 2 for $20 deal, T.G.I.F with its endless appetizers, Boiling Crab, and El Pescador.

To Do:

See the view at Pacific Palms Resort while enjoying dessert around the fire pit, explore City Walk or downtown Disney, go mini golfing, cosmic bowling (midnight bowling is only $1). Pull up to the drive-in, go ice-skating, walk the beach pier or Venice at night, hang out at the Griffith observatory(free), find beauty at local art museums, the Museum of Neon art in Glendale, LACMA,

Keep it Simple:

Plan a romantic picnic in your backyard, or a movie night with popcorn and sweets to watch The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Valentine’s Day or Love and Basketball

Embrace Classic Romance:

Lady and the Tramp if famous for the spaghetti kiss, but the script evolved out of years of personal pet stories shared by the studio’s animal-loving writers and executives. A true labor of love. See it at El Capitan around Valentine’s Day and you’ll be treated to a candlelit dinner before the movie, catered by Miceli’s (sold separately; call 818-845-3110).
