Students Suffer through School

High school can be very frustrating sometimes with all the homework and projects. Some things really just make us want to quit school and stay asleep forever. School really stresses out some of our students.
Kids might say that going to school is not their happy place and we know exactly why. School doesn’t teach us how to build a life for ourselves. They don’t teach us how to buy houses or how to get health insurance. We have to learn all of this on our own. Junior Mike Perez added, “Teachers here don’t tell us the truth. They teach us the basics of how to find the square root of 144. They don’t educate us on the things that are really going to matter in the world. They are also only telling us what happened in history from one point of view not the whole story.”
Some teachers think that by sugar-coating life it would make us see it in a different way, but that’s not true. Showing us the right way how to control our lives is better than having to find out the hard way. Freshman Jessica Castaneda also added in similarity to Perez,
“I hate school because they teachers don’t know how to teach their students right. If they don’t let us know the right way to do things, how are we going to get a good education?”
Others say that waking up early is the most difficult thing that they ever have to do. Waking up at 6:30 just to get ready is ridiculous. Not only is it hard to keep up with five homework assignments two essays and a science project, you have to do all of this while still getting used to the day. Sophomore Julia valverde had quite a bit to say.
“ I really dislike that we are required to wake up super early just to learn. If we have to learn I at least want to be fully awake, and I know for sure that I am not fully awake at 6:30 in the morning.”
