The track boys had four wins and one loss. They got 2nd place in the league. The girls were 5-0 and were league champs.
They had an incredible season, one of the best. The only team that made them work hard was Pomona.
That game made them more focused and worked extra hard. The team felt humble and were hungry for the win. “I am so proud of how the season went and how the runners were committed. They accomplished so much,” said Mr. Armas.
That game gave track a run for their money.
Track girls dominated and won eight league titles out of 16.
Five boys qualified for CIF championship. Alexis Caston Leon won league champ for the mile and two mile.
Erick González won league champ in the triple jump. Vincent Hernandez earned league champ in the 100 meter hurdles. Gabriel Aguilar came 2nd in shot put.
Davina Torres won four of eight league titles: 100/300 hurdles, 400 meter relay race, the 4/400 relay title, and the 400 meters.
She was less than a second away from getting a personal record. She placed 5th out of 31 in division 4.
Brenda Tuches won league champ in the discus and freshman sensation, Ana Simon, was league champ in the mile and two mile.
Track is very proud of all their accomplishments this year.
For the seniors, they are glad that they went out with a bang and made their last track and field season the best.
